Two types of the motherboard:
1) Intel based motherboard which is compatible only for Intel CPU
2) AMD motherboard only supports AMD CPU. If you are going to buy Intel motherboard you must have to match up CPU socket type.For example, if you buy an Intel Core i5-6500 processor this particular socket type is LGA 1151.You have to pick up that board which socket type is same as CPU.

Ram Compatibility:

The component of ram is RAM Type, RAM Speed, RAM Capacity, Number of RAM Slots.

i) RAM Type:
